is a New York City musician and video artist working in
digital and analog mediums. His work is best described as dense;
warm; pulsing; introspective; ambient. He explores and develops
his ideas, creating a sense of narrative while maintaining a non-linear
emotional experience, forming environments that can envelope and define
a space or weave in and out of an existing atmosphere.
Adam works and performs solo and in collaborations -- Among other projects,
he's half of the a/v duo Hellbender Film Projekt with video artist Al
Griffin and half of a music/spoken-word duo with the poet Wanda Phipps.
Adam is also the video resident of Dogs Blood Rising, a regular multimedia
event running out of Brooklyn, NY.
Solo, with Hellbender, with Wanda, or with other artists, Adam's NYC
performances include: Eyewash, The Bunker, Halcyon, X-Fest, The Robert
Beck Memorial Cinema, The Poetry Project, Dogs Blood Rising and F:T:H.
His out-of-town performances include Impulse Response in Troy, NY; Versionfest
in Chicago; Flywheel in Easthampton, MA; and venues from North Carolina
to Boston to Maine. He provides music for dance and uses his production
and writing skills in projects ranging from jazz to rock to electronica.
Adam's extra-curricular activities include founding and curating F:T:H,
a performance series of modern electronic music and real-time video
mixing.
F:T:H is a NYC-based event and encompasses the F:T:H Exchange, a program
creating artist conduits between NYC and other locales.
